Privacy Policy

Last updated 18 October 2026

This policy explains what information the IICPC certificate verification portal shows, stores and processes. The portal is operated by InterCollegiate Informatic and Competitive Programming Camp Pvt Ltd ("IICPC", "we").

Information shown on a certificate

A certificate page shows the recipient's name, the event, stage and year, their rank or participant number, their institution, their Codeforces handle (if provided) and the issue date. These details come from IICPC competition registrations and official results.

  • Certificates are shown only for participants who consented to public verification at registration.
  • A certificate can only be opened with its complete Certificate ID. There is no search by name and no public list of certificates.
  • Certificate pages are marked so that search engines do not index them.

Information we store

For each certificate we store the details above, the participant's registered email address and their consent status. Email addresses are never shown on the site; they are used to handle support and correction requests.

Information about visitors

  • You do not need an account to use the site.
  • The site does not use advertising or analytics trackers.
  • Our hosting providers may keep standard technical logs (such as IP addresses and request times) to operate and secure the service.
  • PDF and PNG downloads are generated in your browser. Nothing is uploaded or stored when you download a certificate.

Reports and correction requests

If you use “Report an issue”, we store what you submit: the Certificate ID, the details you selected and typed, the link to where you saw the certificate (if given), your description, and your name and email (if given). Each report is saved to our database and emailed to the IICPC team, who use it only to investigate the report and reply to you. We keep reports for as long as we need them to handle the issue and to keep a record of how certificates were checked.

Cookies

The site sets one strictly necessary cookie, iicpc_hv, and only after a visitor completes a human check. It lets that visitor view the certificate they asked for without repeating the check, and it expires after ten minutes. No other cookies are set by this site.

Your choices

If you are a certificate holder, you can ask us to correct your details or to stop showing your certificate publicly using “Report an issue” on your certificate page, or by emailing info@iicpc.com from your registered email address, with your Certificate ID. You may also have rights under applicable data protection law, including the right to access your information.

Changes to this policy

We will update this page if the site starts processing information differently, and change the date at the top. See also the Certificate Integrity & Verification Policy and the Terms of Use.
